Privacy Policy

FAST is the trade and app name of First Smart for Taxi Services via Applications-I W.L.L, an app-based taxi intermediary licensed in the State of Qatar. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

Riders

• Account details: name, mobile number, email address and, if you add one, a profile photo.
• Location: your pickup and drop-off points and your device location while you request or take a trip.
• Trip details: routes, times, distance, fares, ratings, feedback and promo codes used.
• Payments: payment method and transaction records. Card payments are handled by licensed payment providers; we do not store full card numbers.
• Communications: messages and calls with captains and with our support team.

Captains (drivers)

• Name, contact details, photo, Qatar ID, driving licence, vehicle registration and insurance, and the checks required by the Ministry of Transport.
• Location and availability while you are online in the driver app, trip history, ratings and earnings.
• Bank or wallet details used to pay your earnings.

Everyone

• Device and usage data: device model, operating system, app version, IP address, language and crash or error logs.
• Website: the contact form opens your own email app, so we only receive what you choose to send us. Your language choice is saved in your browser. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address. We do not use advertising cookies.

• To create and manage your account and verify your identity.
• To match riders with nearby captains, show live trip tracking and calculate fares upfront.
• To process payments, captain payouts, wallet balances and promotions.
• To keep trips safe: live location sharing, emergency features, verifying captains and preventing fraud or misuse.
• To provide customer support and resolve trip or payment issues.
• To improve and develop our services, maps and pricing.
• To meet our legal and licensing obligations in Qatar, including those set by the Ministry of Transport.
• To send you service messages and, only where you agree, offers and news. You can opt out at any time.

We process personal data only where Qatari law allows it, in particular where:

• it is needed to provide the service you asked for (for example, a ride or a delivery);
• we must do so to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation;
• it serves a legitimate purpose, such as safety and fraud prevention, without overriding your rights; or
• you have given your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Location is essential to how Fast works. The rider app uses your location when you open it to request a ride and during the trip. The driver app uses location while a captain is online and during trips. You can turn off location access in your device settings, but some features, such as finding a ride nearby or live tracking, will then not work.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as follows:

• Between riders and captains: during a trip, the captain sees the rider's first name, pickup and drop-off points and rating; the rider sees the captain's name, photo, vehicle, plate number, rating and live location.
• Service providers who work for us under contract, such as hosting, maps, SMS, payment and customer support providers. They may use the data only to provide their service to us.
• Authorities such as the Ministry of Transport, the police or courts, when the law requires it or to protect someone's safety.
• Business changes: if Fast is merged or acquired, data may pass to the new owner under this policy.
• With your consent in any other case.

Some of our service providers may store or process data outside Qatar. When this happens we take the steps required by Qatari law to make sure your data stays protected to the same standard.

We keep your data while your account is active and for as long as needed for the purposes in this policy. Trip, payment and licensing records are kept for the periods required by Qatari law. After that, the data is deleted or anonymised.

We protect personal data with technical and organisational measures such as encryption in transit, access controls and staff confidentiality obligations. No system is completely secure, so please keep your login details private and tell us immediately if you suspect any misuse of your account.

Under Qatari law you can ask us to:

• give you access to the personal data we hold about you;
• correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
• delete your data or your account, unless we must keep it by law;
• stop using your data for direct marketing; and
• withdraw a consent you gave earlier.

To make a request, contact us using the details below. You can also delete your account from inside the app. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the competent data protection authority in Qatar.

Fast accounts are intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If the changes are significant, we will tell you in the app or by another suitable means before they take effect.
